The Toronto Cider Festival is an award-winning annual festival and the largest of its kind in Canada.
Initially established in 2015, the festival was born from a professional friendship between a professor and a recent graduate, that extended beyond the classroom. A family run endeavour, guided by heart, passion, and a lot of perseverance, owners Ijaz Jamal, Chris Palivan, and Shalini Soares are responsible for leading the vision to create an unforgettable cider experience in the heart of downtown Toronto.
Celebrating its 5th year edition in 2019, the festival will create an environment where Toronto’s vibrant community can kick back, relax and celebrate the summer with delicious ciders in hand! Over the past 4 years, the festival has hosted over 13,000 guests, encouraging cider education to millions of Canadians through a fun, interactive and unique experience. The festival has been an instrumental voice of the cider industry, all while supporting
the Ontario farmers and the cider industry as a whole.
As a winner of the Notable Best Festival Award and a finalist for Best Public Festival at the Canadian Special Events Awards, the Toronto Cider Festival is leading the pack as one of the most fun, most respected and well executed festivals in Toronto. Working closely with Ontario Craft Cider Association to boost the local economy and partnering with the provincial and municipal governments to attract tourism into the city, the Toronto Cider Festival aims establish Toronto as the Cider City and one day, grow to become the largest cider festival in the world.
Our family has since grown into a core group of highly talented and dedicated individuals,
all of whom have come together on this journey and are motivated by the opportunity to create an unforgettable cider experience for our guests.
